The new governance takes office at a particularly significant time for the sector, which is facing industrial transformation, technological innovation, the energy transition and new competitive dynamics in global

markets.

The new Presidential team

Nancy Mammaro is President and CEO of Mappi International S.r.l., a company based in Cisterna di Latina specialising in the design and production of furnaces for glass tempering and laminating, which

joined the Voilàp Glass Group at the beginning of 2025.

Having led the company for over thirty years, Mammaro has contributed to the development and international consolidation of Mappi, strengthening its positioning in foreign markets and particularly in

North America, also thanks to a direct presence in the United States. Recognised for her entrepreneurial experience, leadership skills and strong focus on international

relations, Nancy Mammaro is active in promoting Italian manufacturing excellence worldwide and in engaging with the main industry associations, including the National Glass Association. She is also

Ambassador of Confindustria’s Small Industry Committee, representing Unindustria Lazio, with the aim of promoting the values of the Confindustria system through a national network of entrepreneurs; in this

role, she contributes to enhancing the value of Italian industry and promoting Made in Italy on international markets.

Supporting the President will be:

• Nicola Lattuada, Senior Vice President with responsibility for Association Services, Internationalisation and VITRUM;

• Francesca Antonini, Vice President with responsibility for Machinery and Technologies for Hollow Glass Processing;

• Matteo Padovan, Vice President with responsibility for Innovation and Glass Economy Supply Chains.

The new General Council is composed of:

• Monica Messori (Biesse S.p.A.)

• Beatrice Pianosi (Profilglass S.p.A.)

• Barbara Mazza (Cugher Glass S.r.l.)

• Gianluca Diener (Deltamax Automazione)

• Cinzia Schiatti (Schiatti Angelo S.r.l.)

• Massimo De Feo (LiSEC Solutions Italy S.r.l.)

Operational continuity within the Association will be ensured by Lucia Masutti, Director General of Gimav.

A more authoritative, representative Gimav, closer to companies

The programme for the new mandate is based on a vision aimed at making Gimav increasingly authoritative in institutional relations, more representative of the entire supply chain and more useful to

member companies.

Among the priorities identified by the new Presidency are:

• strengthening the Association’s representative role and expanding its membership base;

• consolidating services and help desks in support of companies;

• adopting a more proactive approach to internationalisation processes;

• strengthening dialogue with the Confindustria system and with institutions;

• developing VITRUM as an international hub for the glass economy and as a permanent platform for innovation, relations and business for the sector.

Particular attention will also be devoted to developing relations among member companies, enhancing the value of the different glass supply chains and strengthening GIMAV’s role as a point of reference for the

entire industrial ecosystem of the sector.

Nancy Mammaro, President of GIMAV: “I accept this appointment with pride and with a deep sense of responsibility towards all the companies represented by GIMAV. Our sector is experiencing a complex phase, marked by international tensions, regulatory transformations and increasingly competitive markets. In this scenario, it is essential to build concrete association action, capable of listening to the real needs of companies, protecting the supply chain and supporting businesses in their growth, innovation and internationalisation paths.

We want GIMAV to be increasingly strong, authoritative and united, able to act as a recognised voice for the sector in Italy and around the world. We will work to strengthen the value of belonging to the

Association, develop new opportunities for companies and consolidate the international positioning of Italian glass technology”.
